Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how AI Text Formatter(“we,” “us,” or “our”), accessible at https://aitxtformatter.com, collects, uses and shares information when you use our website and its text-formatting tools (collectively, the “Service”).

The short version

• The text you paste into our tools is processed inside your browser. It is not uploaded, stored or read by us. The one exception, the PDF text formatter, is described in section 2.
• There are no accounts, and we never ask for your name or email to use a tool.
• We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which tools are used, and the site may show ads served by Google AdSense.
• We do not sell personal information.

1. Information we collect

• Text you paste into a tool. The formatters, cleaners, converters and counters on this site run as JavaScript in your browser. Your text never leaves your device, and we cannot see it.
• Text you process with the PDF text formatter. This one tool sends the text you paste to a server function so it can be cleaned there. The text is processed in memory, the result is returned to your browser, and nothing is written to a database, log or backup.
• Basic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider receives standard request information (IP address, browser user-agent, timestamp, requested URL, referrer) needed to deliver the page and to protect the Service against abuse. These logs are kept for a short period and are not used to build profiles.
• Usage analytics.Google Analytics 4 records which pages are viewed, the approximate location derived from your IP address, your device and browser type, and in-page events such as “copied result” or “downloaded file.” Event data never includes the text you pasted.
• Settings stored in your browser.Your formatting preferences (for example “Keep bold”), whether you have dismissed the tour, and any past cookie-consent choice are kept in your browser’s local storage. They stay on your device and are not sent to us.
• Email you send us. If you contact us, we keep your message and address for as long as needed to reply and to keep a record of the correspondence.

2. How we use information

• To provide the tools and keep them working.
• To understand which tools and guides are useful so we can improve them.
• To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.
• To show advertising (see section 4) and measure it in aggregate.
• To answer your messages and comply with legal obligations.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

The Service uses these categories:

• Local storage for preferences. Required for the site to remember your tool settings between visits. No tracking.
• Analytics cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) to tell returning visitors from new ones. We use Google Consent Mode v2 and do not currently show a cookie banner; analytics is active by default.
• Advertising cookies. When ads are shown, Google and its partners may set cookies to serve and measure ads (section 4). For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, advertising storage is set to denied by default, so any ads there are non-personalized unless you give consent through a consent message.

You can control all of this:

• Block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings; the tools keep working, you will only lose saved preferences.
• Opt out of Google Analytics everywhere with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• Opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or through aboutads.info.

4. Google AdSense and third-party advertising

We may display ads on the Service through Google AdSense, a service provided by Google LLC. When ads are shown:

• Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the Internet.
• Where you have given consent, or where consent is not required, ads may be personalized; otherwise they are served on a non-personalized basis.
• Learn more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and about advertising cookies at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

We do not control the cookies set by Google or other advertising partners. Their use of information is governed by their own privacy policies.

5. The text you process

With the exception of the PDF text formatter described in section 1, every tool runs entirely in your browser: the page downloads the cleaning code, and your text is transformed on your device. Closing the tab removes it. This is by design, so that proposals, contracts, client emails and other confidential drafts can be cleaned without sharing them with anyone. Even so, treat any web page with the care your confidentiality obligations require.

6. Data retention

• Tool input and output: not retained. The PDF tool discards text as soon as the response is sent.
• Server request logs:kept by our hosting provider for a short period (typically 7–30 days) for security, then deleted.
• Analytics data: retained by Google Analytics for the period configured in our account (currently 14 months) in aggregated and pseudonymous form.
• Preferences: stored in your browser until you clear site data.

7. Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you have rights under applicable data protection law, including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Because we do not maintain user accounts and do not retain the text you process, the information we hold about an individual is minimal. To exercise your rights, email umar.zusnerd@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

8. Your rights (CCPA / California residents)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected about them, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell personal information.Advertising cookies may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising; you can opt out through the Google Ads Settings link in section 3, or by emailing umar.zusnerd@gmail.com.

9. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International data transfers

The Service is hosted on cloud infrastructure and uses Google services that may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.

11. Third-party links

The Service links to third-party sites, including the applications our guides describe. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to read their policies.

12. AI services disclaimer

AI Text Formatter is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft, xAI, Perplexity, DeepSeek or any other AI provider. References to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and similar product names are descriptive only.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Effective date” above and, for material changes, take additional steps to notify you. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
