This Privacy Policy explains how AI Text Formatter(“we,” “us,” or “our”), accessible at https://aitxtformatter.com, collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and the text-cleaning tool (collectively, the “Service”).
We have designed the Service to collect as little personal information as possible. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what is necessary to operate the Service:
- Text you paste into the tool. When you use the cleaner, your input is sent to our server to be processed and is then immediately discarded. We do not store, log, train on, or share your input with anyone.
- Basic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider receives standard request information (IP address, user-agent, timestamp, requested URL, referrer) needed to deliver the page and to protect the Service against abuse. These logs are retained only for a limited period and are not used to build user profiles.
- Cookies and similar technologies. See section 3 below.
We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other account information. We do not sell personal information.
2. How we use information
- To provide and improve the Service.
- To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse or fraud.
- To comply with legal obligations.
- With your consent, to show advertising via Google AdSense (see section 4) and to measure aggregate usage.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We use two categories of cookies:
- Strictly necessary cookies and local storage — used to remember your cookie consent choice and basic display preferences. These are always active because the site cannot function correctly without them.
- Analytics and advertising cookies— set only if you click “Accept all” in our cookie banner. These may include cookies set by Google AdSense and its partners (see section 4).
You can change your choice at any time by clicking Manage cookies in the page footer, or by clearing site data in your browser. We honor Google Consent Mode v2: until you accept, advertising and analytics storage are signaled as denied.
4. Google AdSense and third-party advertising
We may display ads on the Service through Google AdSense, a service provided by Google LLC. When ads are shown:
- Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies (including the DoubleClick / DART cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the Internet.
- With your consent, ads may be personalized; without consent, ads will be served on a non-personalized basis where applicable law allows.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or learn more about Google’s use of advertising cookies at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
- Information about Google’s privacy practices is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
We do not control the cookies set by Google or other advertising partners. Their use of information is governed by their own privacy policies.
5. The text you process
The cleaning happens on our server (a serverless function). Your input is processed in memory and the result is returned to your browser; we do not write your input to a database, persistent log, or backup. Do not paste confidential, sensitive, or personally identifying content into the tool.
6. Data retention
- Tool input/output: not retained.
- Server request logs:retained by our hosting provider for a short period (typically 7–30 days) for security, then deleted.
- Cookie-consent choice: stored locally in your browser until you clear it.
7. Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have rights under applicable data protection law, including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Because we do not maintain user accounts and do not retain the text you process, the information we hold about an individual user is minimal. 8. Your rights (CCPA / California residents)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected about them, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell personal information.Sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising is governed by the cookie banner; choosing “Decline” opts you out of such sharing on this site. 9. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International data transfers
The Service is operated through cloud infrastructure that may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.
11. Third-party links
The Service may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to read their policies.
12. AI services disclaimer
AI Text Formatter is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft, or any other AI provider. References to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and similar product names are descriptive only.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Effective date” above and, for material changes, take additional steps to notify you. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
